34 kilometres through Duisburg — across Emscher, Rotbach and several waterways, with ice cafés along the way.
The route
You start in Duisburg. You cross ten waterways: Alsbach, Handbach, Nassenkampgraben, Schlenke, Landgraben, Siepenbach and Rotbach, and you cross Alte Emscher, Kleine Emscher and Emscher on bridges. The route is undulating — 128 metres of elevation gain over 34 kilometres, mostly on asphalt. Along the way you'll find four churches, two memorials and, if you fancy a break, the Coffeeteria or one of the two ice cafés Edelweiß and Paradiso.
