The route

You start in Einruhr. You cross Friedenbach, Rur, Sauerbach, Helingsbach and Urft — five bridges on this route. In between you cross Amselbach, Hohenbach, Haftenbach, Eiserbach and Roessief. The route is hilly, just under 24 kilometres long, and takes you almost continuously through forest. Along the way there are four viewpoints — Bird Watching Station, Hütterberg, Burgschränke and the observatory of the astronomy workshop «Sterne ohne Grenzen». The Opel-Oldtimer-Museum and the Rotkreuzmuseum Vogelsang IP are also on the route. If you fancy a break, you'll find the Bistro Seebar and an ice cream shop.
