The route

You start in Hambach. You roll almost continuously on asphalt through a landscape shaped by settlements, with woodland and fields in between. Along the way you cross the Escher Fließ and the Licher Bach, cross two bridges over the Elle and pass Burg Thorr and Burg Grouven. An avenue lies on the route, the Escher Mühle offers a viewpoint. If you fancy a break, you'll find several ice cream cafés — Cucco's, Belissima, Basilo and Campo-Bagatin — as well as the cafés Seelenruhig and Hofcafé Familie Riesen.
